Tips for taking a Gap Year

You want to take a Gap Year. And now what?! Filling up a whole year can be quite challenging. What to do, where to go, how to organise... there is so much to think about that it might be overwhelming at first. In this post I will write about tips that have helped me and what I've learned out of the experience and I hope they are useful for you.

You are crazy for taking a Gap Year!

Around this time two years ago I had suddenly this idea in my head and nobody could get it out again. My friends laughed at me saying it was a total waste of time; my parents looked at me as if I was a bit of a weirdo, but they accepted it in the end. I wanted to take a Gap Year and there was nothing that could change that.

Deciding to take a year off between school and university (or whenever you want to do it) is a big step and involves a hell of a lot of power of persuasion, organisation skills, time and money. So, after I graduated, I did not throw myself into the university-application-madness, but rather into a 'ah hell, what should I do now?'-one.

Best from London

London and shopping... on one hand it's amazing, there are so many stores that we don't have in Spain, but on the other hand it's very expensive and I always ended up spending my money on other things (there are too many pubs there... you can't avoid them). But I still got a few things, I did for example a Boots Haul, and these are my favourite buys from my time spend in beautiful London!
